As a busy professional, it’s easy to get bogged down in the day-to-day, but there is no better way to leave an enduring impact than by sharing your passion for STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) with young people in your community. As a mentor, you might be the first professional engineer, builder or designer in their life. These students have the skills and aptitude to become some of the world’s finest engineers and scientists, makers and creators. But they need a little extra support to get there, someone who can open doors and open their eyes to opportunities.

In this video, Emily Ralph, FIRST Robotics Mentor and MBA Candidate at Northwestern University; Javion Mosley, Application Engineering Intern; and Patricia Contreras, Director of Global Community Relations discuss how mentors have shaped their own professional journeys and explain how you can make your mark as a mentor in your community.
