Our Bulletin 45LMS Laser Measurement Sensors offer an excellent mid- to long-range measurement solution. Available in three ranges, this sensor uses the Time of Flight (ToF) principle and has a relatively small beam spot, even from a distance of 50 m (164 ft).

  • Incorporates embedded IO-Link communication protocol to help minimize downtime and increase productivity
  • IO-Link enabled sensors offer advanced features and diagnostics including Automatic Device Configuration, multiple profiles, trending, descriptive tags, and device specific parameters
  • Includes diffuse range: 8 m (26.2 ft) — Class 1 laser; 15 m (49.2 ft) — Class 2 laser
  • Offers retroflective model range: 50 m (164 ft)
  • Includes one discrete output (1 x NPN/PNP) and one analog output (1 x 4...20 mA)
  • Accurate to ±24 mm (±0.98 in.)
  • Provides fast response time of 10 ms

Bulletin 45LMS Laser Measurement Sensors are suitable for long range detection/measurement applications including:

  • Diameter and web control
  • Distance measurement
  • Level monitoring
  • Long standoff distance presence/absence
  • Material position verification
  • Part positioning
  • Stack level measurement
  • Thickness measurement

IO-Link Technology

IO-Link Technology is a worldwide open-standard protocol that integrates sensors into our Connected Enterprise by connecting the IO-Link enabled device into an IO-Link master module. You can deliver data from the sensor directly into a control system in a very efficient manner. The flexibility of IO-Link capable sensors allows machines to operate more effectively by providing the controller with diagnostics. In addition to product detection, sensors provide detailed and accurate machine health status to improve uptime.
